Basilicata

Now we are in Basilicata, which is probably somewhere that you haven't heard of before. We have lots of photos but it's getting on towards dinner time (20.20) so I don't have time to post them right now. But I give you these maps so you know where we are! Check back later for our photos and to hear more about our adventures!



We started by travelling along the valley of Agri River (to Grumentum, there are Roman ruins there) in southern Basilicata, until the Jonian (Ionian) Sea at Metaponto (cos there's a Greek temple there, naturally!). Then we have driven up the Basano valley and up to Matera. Have also been to the towns of Aliano, Pietrapertosa, Accetura, all too small to be on the map!
